कांग्रेस नेता और लोकसभा में विपक्ष के नेता राहुल गांधी ने बुधवार को अपनी जान को खतरा बताया है, उन्होंने यह बात पूणे की एक अदालत में कही हैा मानहानि मामले में पुणे की एक अदालत में राहुल गांधी की ओर से दाखिल अर्जी में दावा किया गया है कि उन्हें सावरकर की विचारधारा को मानने वालों से खतरा हो सकता है।
राहुल गांधी ने अपने आवेदन में महात्मा गांधी की हत्या का जिक्र करते हुये कहा है कि इतिहास को दोहराने की अनुमति नहीं देनी चाहिए, उन्होंने आवेदन में यह भी कहा है कि उनके द्वारा जिन राजनीतिक मुद्दों को उठाया जा रहा है और सावरकर पर जो टिप्पणी की गई थी, उसकी वजह से उनकी जान को खतरा है। उन्होंने तो यहां तक कहा है कि इस मामले में जो शिकायत कर्ता हैं, वह नाथूराम गोडसे के वंशज हैं। इसके अलावा उन्होंने शिकायत कर्ता के परिवार का हिंसात्मक गतिविधियों का इतिहास रहा है, जिससे जुड़े दस्तावेज का जिक्र इतिहास में होने की बात कही है।
आवेदन में राहुल गांधी ने कहा है कि वोट की चोरी के आरोपों के चलते उनके राजनीतिक विरोधी भड़क गये हैं, जिससे उन्हें सार्वजनिक धमकियां मिली हैं। उन्होंने धमकी देने वाले दो बीजेपी नेताओं के नाम का भी जिक्र किया है।
