अजमेर दरगाह प्रमुख सैयद ज़ैनुल आबेदीन ने कहा है कि वाराणसी की ज्ञानवापी और मथुरा की शाही ईदगाह मस्जिदों से जुड़े विवादों को अदालतों के बाहर सौहार्दपूर्ण ढंग से हल किया जाना चाहिए। उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी विवाद का समाधान आपसी सहमति से होना चाहिए। ऑल इंडिया सूफी सज्जादानशीन काउंसिल की राजस्थान इकाई द्वारा आयोजित ‘पैगाम-ए-मोहब्बत हम सबका भारत’ सम्मेलन को संबोधित करते हुए आबेदीन ने कहा कि भारत वसुधैव कुटुंबकम की सभ्यता का पालन करते हुए दुनिया में शांति बहाल करने में सकारात्मक भूमिका निभा रहा है।
दरअसल उन्होंने कहा, “भारत विश्व शांति में अपनी भूमिका निभा रहा है, इसलिए हमारे देश के आंतरिक मुद्दों को अदालतों के बाहर शांतिपूर्ण तरीके से हल करने का प्रयास किया जाना चाहिए… बस एक मजबूत पहल की जरूरत है।” उन्होंने यह भी कहा कि नागरिकता संशोधन कानून पर मुस्लिम समुदाय को गुमराह किया जा रहा है. “वास्तविकता यह है कि अधिनियम के प्रावधानों के विस्तृत विश्लेषण के बाद, हमने पाया कि कानून का भारतीय मुसलमानों से कोई लेना-देना नहीं है और यह कानून उन पर कोई प्रभाव नहीं डालेगा। इससे अफगानिस्तान, पाकिस्तान, बांग्लादेश के उत्पीड़ित अल्पसंख्यक प्रवासियों को लाभ होगा।” उन्होंने कहा, ”यह किसी की भारतीय नागरिकता नहीं छीनने वाला है।”
उन्होंने कहा कि किसी भी भारतीय की नागरिकता नहीं छीनी जा सकती क्योंकि कानून में ऐसा कोई प्रावधान नहीं है। हिंदू पक्ष का दावा है कि मस्जिदें मुगलों द्वारा ध्वस्त किए गए मंदिरों के खंडहरों पर बनाई गई थीं। इस महीने की शुरुआत में, वाराणसी की एक अदालत ने एक पुजारी के परिवार को ज्ञानवापी मस्जिद के तहखाने के एक तहखाने में हिंदू प्रार्थना करने की अनुमति दी थी। हिंदू पक्ष का दावा है कि अदालत के आदेश पर वाराणसी में प्राचीन काशी विश्वनाथ मंदिर के बगल में स्थित मस्जिद का एएसआई सर्वेक्षण एक हिंदू मंदिर को तोड़कर बनाया गया था। उन्होंने पिछले महीने दावा किया था कि एजेंसी को मस्जिद के अंदर एक मंदिर के अवशेष मिले हैं।
