जौनपुर के पूर्व सांसद धनंजय सिंह और उनके सहयोगी संतोष विक्रम को अपहरण और रंगदारी मामले में अपर सत्र न्यायाधीश शरद त्रिपाठी द्वारा दोषी करार ठहराया गया है. सजा पर कल सुनवाई होगी. धनंजय सिंह को अगर दो साल या उससे अधिक समय की सजा हुई तो वह जौनपुर से लोकसभा चुनाव नहीं लड़ पाएंगे. उनके अरमानों पर पानी फिर जाएगा. बता दें कि, मुजफ्फरनगर निवासी नमामि गंगे के प्रोजेक्ट मैनेजर अभिनव सिंघल ने 10 मई 2020 को लाइन बाजार थाने में अपहरण, रंगदारी व अन्य धाराओं में पूर्व सांसद धनंजय सिंह और उनके साथी संतोष विक्रम पर FIR दर्ज कराई थी.
दर्ज FIR के मुताबिक, संतोष विक्रम दो साथियों के साथ वादी अभिनव सिंघल का अपहरण कर पूर्व सांसद धनंजय सिंह के आवास पर ले गए. वहां धनंजय सिंह पिस्टल लेकर आए और गालियां देते हुए अभिनव सिंघल को कम गुणवत्ता वाली सामग्री की आपूर्ति करने के लिए दबाव बनाया. अभिनव के इनकार करने पर धमकी देते हुए रंगदारी मांगी. इस मामले में FIR दर्ज की गई थी. इसके बाद पूर्व सांसद गिरफ्तार हुए और बाद में जमानत हो गई थी.
पुलिस ने धनंजय सिंह को गिरफ्तार कर भेजा जेल
मंगलवार को जौनपुर के अपर सत्र न्यायाधीश शरद त्रिपाठी ने धनंजय सिंह पर दर्ज अपहरण-रंगदारी मामले में फैसला सुनाते हुए उन्हें दोषी करार दिया. साथ ही धनंजय सिंह के साथी संतोष विक्रम को दोषी पाया. पुलिस ने कोर्ट से ही धनंजय सिंह और उनके साथी संतोष विक्रम को गिरफ्तार कर जेल भेज दिया. उनकी सजा पर कल सुनवाई होगी.
