बायो-मेडिकल वेस्ट प्रबंधन की चुनौतियों पर सामूहिक प्रयासों से ही पा सकते हैं विजय : डॉ. आर.पी. सिंह
- उत्तर प्रदेश प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड के मुख्यालय में बायो-मेडिकल वेस्ट प्रबंधन पर इंटरैक्टिव सत्र का आयोजन
लखनऊ। उत्तर प्रदेश प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड (UPPCB) के मुख्यालय में बुधवार को “कॉमन बायो-मेडिकल वेस्ट ट्रीटमेंट फैसिलिटीज” (CBWTFs) को लेकर स्वास्थ्य सेवा प्रतिनिधियों के साथ “इंटरैक्टिव सेशन” का आयोजन किया गया। इस दौरान यूपीपीसीबी के अध्यक्ष डॉ. आर.पी. सिंह ने मुख्य वक्ता के रूप में उपस्थितजन को संबोधित किया।
डॉ. सिंह ने कहा कि “ बायो-मेडिकल वेस्ट मैनेजमेंट नियमों का अनुपालन केवल कानूनी दायित्व नहीं, बल्कि मानवीय व नैतिक जिम्मेदारी भी है। उन्होंने कहा कि संक्रमणकारी, विषैलेया साइटोटॉक्सिक कचरे का गलत निपटान स्वास्थ्य पर गंभीर प्रभाव डाल सकता है इसलिए प्रत्येक अस्पताल एवं नर्सिंग होम को सही तरीके से कचरे का वर्गीकरण, विभिन्न रंगों के डस्टबिन का सही प्रयोग और उपचार की निर्धारित प्रक्रियाओं का पालन करना चाहिए। प्रदेश में वर्तमान समय में 33 सीबीडब्ल्यूटीएफ कार्यरत हैं, जो विभिन्न अस्पतालों के तीन लाख से अधिक बेड से उत्पन्न कचरे का सुरक्षित निस्तारण कर रहे हैं। यह बड़ी उपलब्धि है, किंतु इसके साथ ही जिम्मेदारी भी उतनी ही बढ़ जाती है।
डॉ. सिंह ने कहा कि उत्तर प्रदेश जैसे बड़े राज्य में चुनौतियाँ भी बड़ी हैं, लेकिन सामूहिक प्रयासों से हम इन पर विजय पा सकते हैं।” हम सबको मिलकर यह सुनिश्चित करना होगा कि बायो-मेडिकल वेस्ट का प्रबंधन उच्चतम मानकों के अनुसार हो। यह न केवल पर्यावरण की रक्षा है, बल्कि जनस्वास्थ्य और आने वाली पीढ़ियों के भविष्य की भी सुरक्षा है।
सत्र के दौरान यूपीपीसीबी के सदस्य सचिव श्री संजीव कुमार सिंह ने सभी को नियमों के अनुपालन के संबंध में अवगत करवाया। केंद्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड के श्री रुना द्वारा हाइब्रिड मोड में बायो मेडिकल वेस्ट मैनेजमेंट संबंधी ऑनलाइन पोर्टल का प्रस्तुतिकरण किया गया। कार्यक्रम का संचालन मुख्य पर्यावरण अधिकारी, प्रशासन श्री राम गोपाल के नेतृत्व मेंमुख्य पर्यावरण अधिकारी, सर्किल-3, श्री प्रवीण कुमार द्वारा किया गया तथा बीएमडब्ल्यू सेल के नोडल अधिकारी श्री उत्सव शर्मा द्वारा प्रस्तुतिकरण किया गया। इस सत्र में चिकित्सा विभाग से उपसचिव, नोडल बीएमडब्ल्यू डॉ.शिप्रा पांडे, आयुष विभाग से डॉ. दिनेश मौर्य,
पशुपालन विभाग से डॉ. राजीव, उपनिदेशक, इंडियन मेडिकल एसोसिएशन से डॉ.संजय सक्सेना, डॉ.पीके गुप्ता, सीबीडब्ल्यूटीएफ एसोसिएशन के अध्यक्ष डॉ. मनोज शिवहरेव सचिव श्री नितिन गुप्ता तथा उप्र प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड के अधिकारी उपस्थित रहे।
