बच्चे को मौत के मुंह से खींच लाए KGMU के डॉक्टर, कंधे और सिर से आर-पार हुई लोहे की ग्रिल को निकाला
उत्तर प्रदेश की राजधानी लखनऊ के गोमती नगर से एक हृदय विदारक घटना सामने आई है। 16 अगस्त की शाम एक तीन वर्षीय कार्तिक नाम का बच्चा 20 फीट की ऊंचाई से गिर गया, जिससे उसके सिर और कंधे में लोहे की ग्रिल की छड़ें आर-पार घुस गईं। परिवार पहले उसे प्राइवेट अस्पताल ले गया, जहां आपरेशन का खर्च 15 लाख से ऊपर बताया गया।
इसके बाद हताश परिवार गंभीर हालत में बच्चे को ग्रिल समेत किंग जॉर्ज मेडिकल यूनिवर्सिटी (KGMU) के ट्रॉमा सेंटर लाया, जहां डॉक्टरों की टीम ने अथक प्रयास कर उसकी जान बचाई। हताश परिवार उसे ग्रिल के साथ ही केजीएमयू के ट्रॉमा सेंटर में रात्रि लगभग 11.45 बजे लाए। गंभीर हालत को देखकर मरीज को पहले स्टेबिलाइज किया गया।
- सबसे बड़ी चुनौती सिर के पास धंसी ग्रिल को काटना था। ग्रिल को काटने के लिए रात्रि में ही ग्रिल काटने वाले लोगों को बुलाया गया, लेकिन लोहा सिर के इतना पास था कि वह ग्रिल काटने में विफल रहे।
- दूसरी बड़ी चुनौती थी कि ग्रिल के कारण मरीज का दोबारा सीटी स्कैन नहीं हो पा रहा था।
- तीसरी बड़ी चुनौती थी लोहे की छड़ सिर के पास एक तरफ से दूसरी तरफ आर-पार होने के कारण मरीज को ऑपरेशन थिएटर में सही ढंग से लिटाना।
इन तमाम मुश्किलों के बावजूद, न्यूरो सर्जरी विभाग की टीम, जिसका नेतृत्व डॉ. बी.के. ओझा कर रहे थे, ने हिम्मत नहीं हारी। डॉ. अंकुर बजाज, डॉ. सौरभ रैना, डॉ. जेसन और डॉ. बासु ने मिलकर कार्तिक के सिर का सफल ऑपरेशन किया और लोहे की ग्रिल को कुशलतापूर्वक बाहर निकाला।
कई विभागों का मिला सहयोग
इस जटिल ऑपरेशन में एनेस्थीसिया विभाग से डॉ. कुशवाहा और डॉ. मयंक सचान की टीम ने पूरा सहयोग दिया। ऑपरेशन के दौरान ट्रॉमा सर्जरी विभाग की डॉ. अनीता भी मौजूद रहीं। लगभग साढ़े तीन घंटे तक चले इस ऑपरेशन के बाद डॉक्टरों की मेहनत रंग लाई और बच्चे के सिर और कंधे से लोहे की छड़ सफलतापूर्वक निकाल ली गई।
बच्चे की हालत में सुधार?
ऑपरेशन के बाद से कार्तिक की हालत में थोड़ा सुधार है, उसके वाइटल्स स्थिर हैं। फिलहाल, वह पीडियाट्रिक विभाग के आईसीयू में वेंटिलेटर पर डॉ. संजीव वर्मा की टीम की देखरेख में है। बच्चे के ठीक होने से भावुक परिवार ने डॉक्टर को भगवान और KGMU को अस्पताल का दर्जा दिया।
