पंजाब के गुरदासपुर जेल में झड़प, पुलिसकर्मियों पर जानलेवा हमला
पंजाब की केंद्रीय जेल गुरदासपुर में हालात उस समय तनावपूर्ण हो गए, जब जेल में बंद कैदियों के दो गुट आपस में भिड़ गए. वहीं कैदियों को शांत कराने के लिए जब पुलिस फोर्स मंगवाई गई तो कैदियों ने उग्र होकर पुलिस फोर्स पर हमला कर दिया, जिसमें चार पुलिसकर्मी घायल हो गए. कैदियों ने जेल परिसर को अपने कब्जे में ले लिया है. तनाव को देखते हुए पांच जिलों की पुलिस को मौके पर बुलाया गया है. साथ ही अर्धसैनिक बल भी बुलाए गए हैं.
जेल सिक्योरिटी में तैनात एक पुलिसकर्मी, थाना धारीवाल के SHO मनदीप सिंह, SI जगदीप सिंह और पुलिस फोटोग्राफर जख्मी हो गया है. घायल चारों पुलिसकर्मियों को इलाज के लिए सिविल अस्पताल में भर्ती करवाया गया है. केंद्रीय जेल में लगातार माहौल तनावपूर्ण बना हुआ है और स्थिति को कंट्रोल करने के लिए आसपास के पांच जिलों की पुलिस और अर्धसैनिक बल बुलाए गए हैं.
जेल के हालात संभालने में जुटे IG बॉर्डर रेंज
जेल में मौजूद कैदियों द्वारा बिस्तरों और अन्य सामान को आग लगाई जा रही है और हंगामा जारी है. IG बॉर्डर रेंज जेल के अंदर पूरे ऑपरेशन को लीड कर रहे हैं. उनके साथ पांच जिलों की पुलिस और अर्धसैनिक बल के जवान हैं. जेल के माहौल को शांत कराने का प्रयास किया जा रहा है, लेकिन इन सबके बीच जेल में मौजूद कैदियों द्वारा पुलिस पर लगातार पथराव किया जा रहा है.
गोपा गैंग और होशियारपुरिया गैंग में हुई झड़प
जानकारी के मुताबिक, गुरदासपुर सेंट्रल जेल में दोपहर 12 बजे गोपा गैंगस्टर और एक अन्य प्रताप सिंह होशियारपुरिया गैंग से जुड़े कैदियों के बीच किसी बात को लेकर अचानक विवाद शुरू हो गया. दोनों गुटों के बीच विवाद इस कदर बढ़ा कि मारपीट की नौबत आ गई. मारपीट होते देख जब जेल की सुरक्षा में तैनात पुलिसकर्मी समझाने-बुझाने गए तो दोनों गुटों के कैदियों ने उल्टा पुलिस पर ही हमला कर दिया. किसी तरह पुलिस के जवान अपनी जान बचाकर वहां से बाहर निकले.
