लोकसभा चुनाव 2024 के लिए अब कुछ ही समय बचा है। जिसके चलते सियासी सरगर्मियां काफी तेज हो गई हैं। वहीँ दूसरी ओर भारतीय जनता पार्टी के उम्मीदवारों की पहली लिस्ट आने के बाद उनके एक और दिग्गज नेता ने उनका साथ छोड़ कर राजनीति से संन्यास लेने का एलान कर दिया है। सांसद गौतम गंभीर और सांसद जयंत सिन्हा के बाद अब राजधानी दिल्ली की चांदनी चौक लोकसभा सीट से सांसद डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने राजनीति से संन्यास का एलान कर दिया है।
डॉ. हर्षवर्धन ने रविवार को सोशल मीडिया साइट एक्स पर एक पोस्ट करते हुए खुद इस बात की जानकारी दी है। अपने पोस्ट में उन्होंने लिखा कि, तीस साल से ज्यादा के शानदार चुनावी करियर में मैंने सभी पांच विधानसभा और दो संसदीय चुनाव लड़े, जिनमें मैंने बड़े अंतर से जीत हासिल की। इनके अलावा, पार्टी संगठन, राज्य और केंद्र की सरकारों में कई प्रतिष्ठित पदों पर कार्य भी किया। अब मैं वापस अपने काम की ओर लौटना चाहता हूं। कृष्णा नगर में मेरा ईएनटी क्लिनिक भी मेरी वापसी का इंतजार कर रहा है। उन्होंने आगे लिखा, ‘मैं अपनी पार्टी के सभी कार्यकर्ताओं, अपने प्रशंसकों और आम नागरिकों के समर्थकों के साथ-साथ अपनी पार्टी के नेताओं को भी धन्यवाद देना चाहता हूं। उन सभी ने तीन दशकों से अधिक की इस उल्लेखनीय यात्रा में योगदान दिया है। आपको बतादें, इससे पहले, पूर्व दिल्ली से भाजपा के सांसद गौतम गंभीर और झारखंड के हजारीबाग से सांसद जयंत सिन्हा ने खुद को देश की सक्रिय राजनीति से अलग करने का आग्रह पार्टी से किया था।
