X–Reuters विवाद: भारत सरकार और सोशल मीडिया के बीच बढ़ता टकराव
नई दिल्ली, 13 जुलाई 2025:
दुनिया के सबसे बड़े समाचार प्लेटफॉर्म्स में से एक, Reuters, और लोकप्रिय माइक्रोब्लॉगिंग प्लेटफॉर्म X (पूर्व में Twitter), एक बड़े विवाद का हिस्सा बन गए हैं। मामला जुड़ा है भारत सरकार द्वारा X को भेजे गए आदेश से, जिसके तहत Reuters India और उसके अन्य समाचार खातों को ब्लॉक करने को कहा गया था।
क्या है पूरा मामला?
3 जुलाई 2025 को X (जिसके मालिक Elon Musk हैं) ने सार्वजनिक रूप से बताया कि उन्हें भारत सरकार की ओर से 2,355 खातों को ब्लॉक करनेका आदेश मिला था। इन खातों में दो प्रमुख न्यूज़ हैंडल शामिल थे:
- @ReutersIndia
- @ReutersWorld
X ने कहा कि यह आदेश भारत के Information Technology Act, Section 69A के तहत दिया गया है। इसके तहत भारत सरकार “सार्वजनिक व्यवस्था”, “राज्य की अखंडता” और “राष्ट्रीय सुरक्षा” के नाम पर कंटेंट को हटाने या ब्लॉक करने का निर्देश दे सकती है।
फिर क्या हुआ?
सरकार की ओर से कोई आधिकारिक प्रेस विज्ञप्ति जारी नहीं हुई, लेकिन आलोचनाओं के बढ़ने के बाद, सरकार ने कथित तौर पर X को नए आदेश के तहत अकाउंट्स को बहाल करने का निर्देश दिया। इसके बाद 4 जुलाई की रात, दोनों Reuters अकाउंट्स दोबारा सक्रिय कर दिए गए।
Elon Musk और X की प्रतिक्रिया
X ने कहा:
“हम पारदर्शिता में विश्वास करते हैं। यह आवश्यक है कि लोग जानें जब सरकारें हमें कंटेंट हटाने या ब्लॉक करने के लिए बाध्य करती हैं।”
इस बयान से यह साफ हो गया कि X अब भारत जैसे देशों में भी सरकारी सेंसरशिप का सामना सार्वजनिक रूप से करेगा।
Section 69A क्या है?
भारतीय IT अधिनियम की धारा 69A के अंतर्गत सरकार किसी भी सोशल मीडिया प्लेटफॉर्म को कंटेंट हटाने या ब्लॉक करने का आदेश दे सकती है, यदि वह:
- भारत की संप्रभुता,
- राज्य की सुरक्षा,
- या सार्वजनिक व्यवस्था को प्रभावित करता हो।
हालाँकि, इस कानून का उपयोग कितना पारदर्शी या लोकतांत्रिक मूल्यों के अनुरूप है, यह सवाल खड़े करता है।

इस घटना ने फिर से सोशल मीडिया पर सेंसरशिप बनाम राष्ट्रहित की बहस को ज़ोर पकड़वा दिया है।
